A NEW APPROACH

Believing that true beauty comes from a sense of balance, Chiara Vania started her journey to create KITA. Made for the contemporary man and woman; KITA has been designed for the busy lifestyles we now lead, helping to bring us back to our balanced and re-energised selves.

Inspired by the ancient philosophy of the Five Elements, KITA starts from a different perspective, the individual. With an avant-garde attitude and a thorough understanding of the Five Elements, KITA creates a new direction in luxury skincare that is entirely relevant today.

THE MODERN MUSE

Chiara’s parents, Dr Anna Maria Storti and Dr Michele Vania have, for over 35 years, been incorporating the Five Elements philosophy in their daily practices, along with traditional western medicines.

As an expert in aesthetic medicine and facial acupuncture, Anna Maria worked with KITA’s facialist to create a bespoke massage to complement each Moisturising Serum Complex, while Michele, an expert in bio-resonance therapy, worked with the KITA chemists to ensure the products worked to rebalance each element.

Inspired by the knowledge and practices of her parents, Chiara has experienced first-hand, the powerful impact of rebalancing the body’s energy. Having studied fashion and gone on to travel the world, Chiara’s next adventure, along with her partner Sabri Mezran, was to create KITA, a new approach to personalised skincare.

AN ANCIENT PHILOSOPHY

The philosophy of the Five Elements represents the concept of perfect equilibrium. Through the observation of nature, ancient scholars noted a pattern of expressions, which they went on to interpret as the Five Elements, and realised that everything in the universe is interconnected.

Wood burns to produce Fire, whose ashes form Earth from which Metal is extracted, whose melting become Water which nourishes trees. This simple and essential concept of perfect equilibrium is entirely relevant today. Indeed, the pace of life, along with the pressures and stresses we all face, means our need to rebalance has never been greater.

Our need to rebalance has never been greater

Fire

Embodies the manifestation of life and radiates a vigorous energy, illuminating everything about it with a sense of joy.

Wood

Heralds the beginning of life, dynamic, expansive and young it expresses itself with vitality just as fresh shoots reach to the sky.

Earth

Is the dynamic centre for everything in nature; it brings the elements together, offering stability.

Water

Is like a calm sea which can appear tranquil, while in its depths there is an endless flow of energy. Highly receptive it has limitless potential.

Metal

Is reflective and profound, its energy draws in just as an autumn evening. Sharp and resistant, it works with deep concentration.
